Indiana Code 23-14-68 lays out the rules and regulations for what cemeteries a Township is responsible for and what the Township’s responsibility entails regarding those cemeteries. Any cemetery within the Township limits that is without funds for maintenance, not managed by any viable organization, and not located on land which property taxes are assessed/paid are cemeteries that the Township is responsible for maintenance and care.
