Application Process
- Applications are available at the township administration office, 311 Production Drive from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed holidays.
- Once the application is completed and the additional items are located to bring to the interview, the client should call (317)272-1835 to set up an interview with the caseworker.
- All adults in the household must sign the application and present a state issued picture identification to the caseworker to start the application process.
- At the interview, the caseworker will take the client through the process, which involves verifying information, making copies of information (refer to the checklist), and evaluating the emergency situation and request. A home investigation may also be scheduled at that time.
- A decision of "Approval", "Denial", or "Pending" will be made within 72 (business) hours after the interview has taken place and the application has been completed. If additional information is required, the case may be pended an additional 72 hours.
