Splash Pad Temporarily Closing -

Updated August 5, 2011

Splash Pad will reopen on Saturday August 6, 2011.  Thank you for your understanding and patience during the temporary closure.  We look forward to seeing you all at the Splash Pad!

Updated July 29, 2011

Indianapolis Water Company has extended stop non-essential water usage, including no yard watering.  In compliance with their request, the Splash Pad will remain closed.  Indianapolis Water will be re-evaluating on August 5th and we will post any updates that we receive.  The extension is in response to the heavy use that has caused an extensive burden on IWC infrastructure and a strain on water pressure that is essential for firefighting.

Posted July 25, 2011

Indianapolis Water has asked that everyone not water their lawns until further notice. As of Monday 7/25/11, Indianapolis Water will not make a decision until Friday as to when watering actives can continue, this includes the Splash Pad. The splash pad remains closed for this week.

They also asked all water activities including those for Leisure be stopped until further notice to help reduce the consumption of water in order to maintain adequate water pressure for customers and firefighting activities,” All Counties are following this. With this order, the splash pad has been ordered to shut down until Indianapolis water gives us an okay to turn it back on again. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we have to follow the order as it could pose a major problem for the fire stations as well.

We will keep you updated on this page as soon as we re-open it.
